The 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 saw Team 18 unveil a striking new look for its Snowy River Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, with David Reynolds and James Courtney teaming up aboard the specially liveried #48 entry for Australia’s Great Race.

In a significant departure from the team’s familiar teal colours, the Snowy River Racing Camaro arrived at Mount Panorama sporting a vibrant new Electric Blue, black and white livery, celebrating the launch of Snowy River Caravans’ new 48-volt power technology across its MY27 range.

The transformation also included a special change of race number, with the Camaro switching from its traditional #20 to #48 to recognise the new technology. Featuring prominent Snowy River 48V branding across the bonnet, doors and roof, the new design made its debut at Bathurst.

Beyond the distinctive new look, the #48 Camaro also featured one of the most experienced driver combinations on the 2026 Bathurst grid.

Reynolds returned to Mount Panorama as the reigning Bathurst 1000 runner-up, having narrowly missed victory in a dramatic rain-affected finish in 2025 that delivered Team 18 its best-ever result in Australia’s Great Race. A Bathurst winner in 2017, Reynolds was joined by 2010 Supercars Champion James Courtney, who returned to endurance racing following his retirement from full-time competition.

Between them, Reynolds and Courtney brought an extraordinary 39 Bathurst 1000 appearances and seven podium finishes to the 2026 event, forming the most experienced driver pairing on the grid.

With its distinctive Electric Blue livery, special race number and experienced driver combination, the #48 Snowy River Racing Camaro was one of the more unique entries in the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 field.

Authentic Collectables are pleased to be replicating this special Bathurst edition with a limited edition release, celebrating a memorable new look for Snowy River Racing and another chapter in the careers of David Reynolds and James Courtney at Mount Panorama.

This 1:43 scale release is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.

Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.

It will come in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. An individually numbered backing board featuring the edition number is also included as part of the package and acts as the Certificate of Authenticity for the release.
